Volunteer Opportunity
Kitchen Bakers

Goal:

  • This role supports the prepping and baking of an assortment of cookies, squares and tarts that patrons can purchase at The Centre’s Café.  This role also includes baking for special events and our annual Christmas Bake Sale.

Time Commitment

  • 8 hours monthly (approximately)

Attributes Required

  • Interest in baking

  • Basic knowledge of baking techniques and kitchen equipment

  • Ability to work as part of a team

  • Have a good understanding of food safety practices

Responsibilities

  • Work under the direction of the kitchen coordinator

  • Prepare ingredients and follow recipes accurately

  • Package and label baked goods

  • Maintain a clean, organized and sanitary work area

  • Assist with inventory checks

  • Support special events, fundraising initiatives and community programs as required  

  • Work collaboratively with staff, volunteers and kitchen team members
